I want to invite you to choose a family in the ward and fellowship them. Maybe invite them over to dinner or invite them to go to the park with you guys. Maybe bring them cookies out of the blue. I don't know, something social and happy. I think that would be really neat. Remember that you can be a huge positive example to your kids like you have been for me :)

This week Elder Amado came to Panama. Wow the conference that we had with him was absolutely amazing. When he walked into the room, I was practicing a piano piece for the special musical number. He smiled at me and his eyes met mine...and from that moment until the end of the conference I just thought...wow...the image of Christ is truly reflected in his eyes...in his smile...in his presence. It was a really amazing experience to be able to recognize that in someone. His words were inspired and his spirit was truly felt. The first thing that he taught was that it's important to learn how to communicate. That the Spanish speakers need to improve their Spanish and learn English..and that the English speakers need to learn Spanish. And that everyone needs to learn how to be able to communicate directly and to the point. He said that the Spanish speakers need to stop following their gringo buddies saying, ´´Como´´ [What] all the time. That they can't ruin their Spanish in the mission. He spoke with such love and good humor. He helped us remember that God truly has a sense of humor.

So through the conference I truly felt inspired. He taught us how we can become ´´full time´´ missionaries...aka to use all of our time to serve the Lord. My eyes have truly been opened to everything that I need to do and to all the ways that I can improve. At the end of the conference, I felt like I was on such a spiritual high...so extremely motivated and inspired. He helped us realize in what ways the mission needs to improve, in what ways we can improve. He addressed the importance of fasting. He said that fasting is something personal. He told us that it's wrong to fast for baptisms. He taught us that we should not fast more than two times a month...one for the monthly fast and the other for personal reasons. He told us that our bodies are still growing and developing and we need to take care of ourselves.

Transfer news....so it turns out that.....my companion has transfers. Wow I really didn't expect that. So I will be staying here in Doleguita but I will get a new companion. The other missionaries in the ward are affected by the transfers too. Hna. Solis is leaving Doleguita and Hna. Ceron will be training! I'm excited to see who will come and what will happen. I am willing and ready to work harder than I've ever worked before. I really want to do everything that I can and I want to reach my potential as a servant of the Lord.

My health....it has improved. I took all of the parasite meds and I've been starting to feel more strength and Im able to focus better. But....I have a cold now. It's nothing serious I've just been coughing a bunch. I bet it will go away fast and it's really not too much of a nuisance.

Thank you for keeping me updated on everything :) I'm looking forward to talking to Mari about what she thinks about her patriarchal blessing. I sent Sarah an email saying happy birthday.

Not really sure what else to say except for I'm excited to begin a new transfer.

I love you!!

Love always,
Hermana Koehler
